Trnava and Olomouc succeeded in the first matches

The introduction of the Tipsport Malta Cup tournament was provided by the football players of the Slovak Trnava and last year's winner of the Austrian Tirol Wattens. The second match belonged to Olomouc and Aalborg.

The match started on Tuesday afternoon at Ta Qali stadium quite lukewarm, as if the players did not want to expend too much strength, which they will need in the next program of the tournament and training camp. But jumping from hard training to wrestling pace can be challenging. The dynamics of the match was pushed up by the goal after the change of sides, when Iván from Trnava hit. The defending champion of Tyrol did not want to leave the match to the opponent and pushed into the attack. However, the Austrian team did not want to score a goal. On the contrary, Trnava added the insurance in the 82nd minute and the winner was decided. "The match met our expectations at the beginning of the preparation, many players gave a quality performance. We are very satisfied in Malta. We were here last year, so we knew what we were getting into. Excellent opponents and ideal training conditions. So far, we are missing the biggest star Martin Škrtel, who is working with an injured Achilles tendon, but we believe that he will arrive in Malta during the training camp for us, "says Trnava coach Michal Gašparík.

In the second evening match, Olomouc swept Aalborg 3-0. The Danish team divided the game load for each player into 30 minutes and the rotations in the line-up were also known in the result against the more compact Olomouc.
