The second day of the Tipsport Malta Cup brought a much more interesting course of matches than the drawn duels at the beginning of the tournament.
Sandhausen - Trnava 3:0
In the first afternoon match at the Tony Bezzina Stadium, Sandhausen from the 2nd Bundesliga, whose jersey is also worn by former Sparta Prague striker Matěj Pulkrab, played against the elite Slovak league team Trnava. She, even with her key stopper Štetina, who joined the team in Malta later, could not overcome the opponent's excellently organized defense and made mistakes that punished the German team. In addition, Trnava lost one player soon after the change of sides and had a difficult task. Nevertheless, she could have reduced it, but coach Gašparík's team simply did not do well on Saturday.
SV Sandhausen: Drewes, Calhanoglu (Okoroji, 65.), Zhirov (Diakhite, 76.), Dumic (Höhn, 45.), Framberger (Diekmeier, 65.) – Zenga (Evina, 76.), Papela (Ritzmaier, 65.), C. Kinsombi (Ochs, 45.), Bachmann (Pulkrab, 48.), D. Kinsombi (Ajdini, 45.), Esswein (Kutucu, 65.).
FC Spartak Trnava (1st half): Takac, Prochazka, Ujlaky, Twardzik, Stetina – Kyriakos, Svvidis, Azevedo, Oseni, Mikovic, Taiwo – Ristovski. FC Spartak Trnava (2nd half): Vantruba – Kostrna, Curma, Kosa, Bolaji – Karhan, Olejnik, Paur, Bukata, Boateng – Ikugar.
Goals: 9. Calhanoglu, 23. D. Kinsombi, 79. Diakhite.
Trenčín - Liberec 1:2
Spectators saw fast and strong football from the first minutes in the second match on Saturday. Some interventions did not fully correspond to the preparatory nature of the match. Both teams were given a penalty kick advantage in the first half and both converted. An interesting match ended in a draw when Liberec's combination was successful in the set-up and maybe the smallest player on the field, Ghali, who came to Liberec from Trenčín in the winter, decided with a header from the center. A spicy finish, but a beautiful goal in the end, apparently the players on both sides wished the smiling Ghali.
AS Trenčín: Kukučka - Yem (62. Bagin), Pires (46. Dos Santos), Ďuriška (62. Mičuda), Kozlovský (62. Stojsavljević), Bainović (C) (62. Okunola), Ibrahim, Hollý (62. Šebeň), Kmeť (72. Murko), Emeka (62. Oladoye), Soares (72. Praženka)
FC Slovan Liberec: Bačkovský (C) - Fukala (76. Lexa), Plechatý (76. Lehoczki), Pourzitidis (46. Prebsl), Preisler - Doumbia (46. Gebre Selassie), Červ (46. Varfolomejev), Valenta (46. Frýdek (76. Polyák)), Mészáros (46. Višinský) - Rondić (67. Rabušic), Kozák (67. Ghali).
